Native American (Indiano Pellerossa)
The native american subject appears for the first time in Troubetzkoy’s artistic oeuvre in 1893, when seeing Buffalo Bill’s show in Milan. During his stay in America, Troubetzkoy repeated several times works with the present subject (standing, seated or riding a horse). A replica of the present plaster is kept at the Museo del Paesaggio in Verbania (inv. T n. 237).
