Girl seated with dog (Bambina seduta con cane)
The Museo del Paesaggio in Verbania keeps two groups of Girl Seated with a dog. The present plaster bears the signature of the artist and the date of 1906. The plaster depicts one of Troubetzkoy’s favourite subjects, children with animals. Gavrilovich (2017) states that as the plaster is signed 1906 it is very likely that it was done during Troubetzkoy’s permanence in Paris. In 1913 a bronze titled Child with a dog, had been shown at the exhibition of the Roman Secession. Of the latter however, is unknown its current location. At the Museo del Paesaggio in Verbania is kept a marble version of the head of the child (inv. T n. 303)
