Cowboy on a horse (Cowboy a Cavallo)
The clay version of the present plaster had been reproduced in April 1924. Another slightly different version of the plaster is kept at the Museo del Paesaggio (inv. T n. 77). The statuette is part of a larger series started in 1920 with Two cowboys riding (inv. T n. 29), exhibited in Paris in 1921 and continued with Cowboy on the lookout (inv. T n. 74) exhibited at the Venice Biennale of 1922. Much later are the versions of the Rodeos (inv. T n. 11, 12, 135), all formed by two plasters merged together on the base (Gavrilovich, 2017).
